Support Groups

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Groups

Support groups provide a time for caregivers to meet others in the same situation, offering the opportunity to learn from each other and develop a mutual support system in a confidential, caring and supportive environment.

Our facilitators have social work or small group facilitation training, and staff from the Center for Healing & Wholeness are always available to provide additional resources and referrals in support of caregivers.

Currently we offer two groups in conjunction with the Alzheimers Association of Minnesota which include; a General Caregiver Support group and a support group specifically for Adult Children.

Groups are held at Normandale Lutheran Church which is located at 6100 Normandale Rd., Edina, and available at no cost and open to our entire community. Current offerings include:

Group Education:  Second Saturday of the month, Sept. through Mar., 9 – 10:30 am.  Saturday Support Group:  Second Saturday of every month, 10:30 – Noon.     Wednesday Support Group:  Third Wednesday of every month, 6 – 7:30 pm

For more information about the groups click on 2017-2018 Education Series for details including brief descriptions of the variety of topics presented.
