The most exercise-focused of our evidence-based programs, this workshop aims to help older adults
improve their balance and reduce the likelihood of falling through the practice of Tai Ji. All of the movements are slow and smooth, and can be done either standing or seated to accommodate participants of all ability levels. Eight forms of Yang style Tai Ji will be taught throughout the workshops and all help participants increase strength, flexibility, body alignment and balance. Tai Ji has also been shown to have numerous mental benefits including lower levels of stress and anxiety, better mood, decreased risk of depression and better sleep.
