Matter of Balance (MOB) is an evidence-based course specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling and improve activity levels among adults.

About the event

Snow and ice don’t help when it comes to balance and safety in the winter. This is the perfect class to help reduce the fear of falling, reduce fall risks at home, and improve your activity levels year round. The program includes 8 two-hour classes presented to a small group of participants led by trained coaches. You will:

  • Reduce the fear of falling by learning to view falls as controllable
  • Set goals for increasing activity levels
  • Make small changes to reduce fall risks at home
  • Exercise to increase strength and balance
