Volunteer and Support our Mission to Serve Seniors and their Caregivers

Make a difference in the lives of someone going through life-changing challenges within the community and develop new, meaningful connections. This is very much a relationship-based volunteer program. We work hard to match the volunteer assignment that best fits you and the seniors we serve. Current volunteer opportunities include:

Memory Care Companions

  • Memory Companions are designed to provide safe and nurturing support for people with memory loss while their caregivers take a break. We will train you on how to work with people with memory loss, visit with the care receiver, and provide meaningful activities that are appropriate to the changing stage of memory loss.

Friendly Visitors

  • Friendly Visitor volunteers provide friendship and connection to seniors in the community. Visits occur once a week or every other week for 1-3 hours and activities can include puzzles, reading, games, conversations, crafts, and more.

Second Saturday Group Respite

  • We offer group respite activities for our in-person Saturday Caregiver Education Series and Saturday Support Group and need volunteers to spend time with seniors in various stages of dementia.

Evidence-Based Class Facilitator

  • Passionate about educating and inspiring seniors? We will help you get trained/certified to co-lead a 6-week or 8-week evidence-based workshop. A 2-year commitment and ability to teach 1-2 times a year is required.
